On 2nd of February 1942, the bureau of J.V.Stalin recieved a letter from the city of Nevyansk in Sverdlovsk disctrict, addressed directly to J.V.Stalin, from two technicians by the names of A.Kuznetsov and P.Alip. Inside was a proposal for a quite odd fighting vehicle, named "Salamander against fascism" by its authors.

Why such an odd name? The authors themselves explain: "Salamander is animal that can take the colour of its environment, it is also toxic, attacks its victim suddenly after crawling silently towards it, it has a low but long shape. We wanted to create such a war machine, which would resemble the salamanders with its properties. That's why we decided to name the vehicle "Salamander against fascism".

The history doesn't mention whether the vehicle could change colours or spit venom, but it certainly was long:

  3. certainly a new vehicle for the USSR tree...
lets keep it historical.. like WG always does

its Tier 2, 35mm frontal armor with ~4 tons of weight.
Its topengine delivers 90 hp and the tracks are capable of turnung this one 360° in 5 seconds.

The main armament was cetainly improved (historically correct ofc), by a 45mm 20K gun with 0,37 accuracy and 1,5 sec aiming time.

The one man was a mutant which recieved 4 arms to be able to load, aim, shoot and hit within 2,5 seconds.

Certianly a nice addup to the acutal tanklist... tbh we might need to buff it, but it'll do for the time being.

  4. In my opinion, they should put these tanks into game, maybye like a premium vehicles but they really should.

  5. I'm pretty sure that thing would kill it's user if he tried driving it while lying down, unless he moved at crawling speed.

  6. Well at least they don't need a coffin to bury the use in.

  9. So the first iteration is basically an air-propelled snowmobile?

    1. Yup, propeller and skis. Meant for ice skating i guess? (which doesn't make sense because no other tank in their right mind would go over ice)

    2. Someone apparently hasn't heard of what the Soviets termed "aerosani", lit. "aerosled" - propeller-driven snowmobiles basically. More or less used in place of armoured cars in open terrain when there was a lot of snow on the ground, rather succesfully too.

This thing looks more or less like the retarded bastard child of one of those and the '03 Levavasseur Project. :/
